Seller's Note

Vintage show rod 'Survivor' from the 60's, Ford Roadster on Deuce frame.

This incredibly intact show rod from the late 60’s known as the ‘Cockroach’, features the original 78 coats of candy apple amber lacquer sprayed in the late 60’s - early 70’s. The original 31 Ford Roadster body is channeled 8” over a chrome plated frame based on a modified 32 ford chassis with custom made wish bones and fully plated suspension and hand made chrome-plated nerf bars. The original Deuce shell has also been sectioned to match the cowl height. Underneath there is a fully chromed floor board under the body. The interior features a Hollywood accessory panel with a full array of vintage SW instruments. The interior and trunk is finished in 1960s-era black diamond pleated upholstery with matching carpeting. The Buick Nailhead is topped by six chrome Stromberg carburetors on a polished Drag Star with all of the Weiand Nailhead accessories from the 60’s. The original builder, Jim Cooper also hand built this wild set of headers that also incorporates a full length under car exhaust. The original build photos documenting the 6 year build come with the car along with an issue of the Traditional Rod & Kulture cover feature. This car was also a feature car in Pat Ganahl's book titles: Lost Hot Rods II. The buyer will be responsible for vehicle transportation. I have this car for sale locally and reserve the right to end the listing early.
